Bitimec Bus Wash-Bots Make Washing Easy!

The RATP Dev Group is the world’s fifth largest transportation company. With European roots that trace back to 120 years ago, the transit operator runs and maintains tens of thousands of kilometers of subway, bus, tram and urban or intercity rail lines around the globe.

Since 2018, the RATP Dev Group operates the DC Circulator which is a transit bus system that operates in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C. The DC Circulator buses are similar to shuttle buses since they operate on a predictable fixed route and schedule, and run between the city’s main attraction and some of the more popular neighborhoods for visitors. The 81 bus fleet is split between 2 bus depots and consists of Van Hools and New Flyers with diesel, diesel-electric hybrid and fully electric power.

In November of 2019, the company acquired 2 battery-powered 626-EZs for each of their respective bus depots. Using pure 24V-DC power, each single-brush unit can soap, wash and rinse up to 30 buses on one complete charge while the buses are stationary.

Bitimec’s Wash-Bots are advanced, reliable, power-brush machines immediately delivering positive ROI by allowing a single operator to wash a bus as fast as a 6 person wash crew. The operator simply walks the self-powered systems around the vehicles, as they apply soap, rinse-water and power-brush, all at the touch of a button. The small footprint machines do not need a dedicated building because they can be tucked out of the way when not in use. The line is being re-branded as “Wash-Bots.com” to immediately portray ‘Washing Power-Machines & Modern Technology’.
